Worked A71CV (Qatar) from the mobile station on the way home from work this evening on 20m, the tarheel works! Just surprised that the rainy weather seemed to detune the antenna from time to time, I wonder if that is normal?

Had fun with the Mobile set up today on the commute. Very fun to hear a few VK stations this morning on the way in, they were sounding good. Gave me hope that the conditions were improving as the bands seemed to be wonderful this morning. Then the bottom fell out and I heard that the sunspots all disappeared, hope they come back soon! A solar flux of only 75 or so, not so great.

Got the little tarheel II installed today, and made a few contacts with it, seems to work pretty well! Had some fun. This should certainty improve the commute!

Also made a few contacts on 20m this evening enjoyed that very much.

The weather is absolutely perfect!

Getting serious about HF mobile with two hours in the car each day. Ordered a Little Tarheel 2 antenna today to go with the 706. Gonna need to spend a few hours getting everything wired up and ready to go. We'll see how that works for me, I'll be sure to let you know. . .
